With a history spanning 75 years, it is deeply rooted in the community, committed to supporting disadvantaged children, youth, and their families. Through professional social work practices, TFCF provides services such as living assistance, child protection, educational support, and family care. Challenges
Over the years, TFCF has accumulated a vast collection of administrative documents and media materials from its activities. In the past, it relied heavily on paper-based records and separate storage methods, which resulted in high maintenance and retrieval costs, as well as a significant risk of data loss. As its internal data grew increasingly complex, TFCF recognized the need to digitize its information and implement a stable and secure storage system.
Since TFCF primarily handles the personal information of donors and beneficiaries, it places great importance on data security and privacy, and therefore opted for the greater control offered by “on-premises storage”.
Solution
QNAP NAS meets TFCF’s digital data storage needs - providing security, flexibility, and ease of management - while also integrating with existing systems and storing large amounts of data. TFCF’s IT team implemented QNAP NAS as a data storage platform for both their headquarters and local branches. With detailed permission management, each NAS can access the data they need according to their roles, ensuring both convenience and security.
Many documents, event photos, and video materials are no longer scattered across individual computers or USB drives. They are now centrally stored on NAS for easier management. Shared folders make it easier for colleagues to work and to organize and use the data later.
TFCF’s branches across Taiwan have also implemented NAS as a core backup solution. Through scheduled backups, version control, and multiple redundancy mechanisms, newly added and modified data is regularly backed up, ensuring that internal files, service documents, case tracking records, and administrative data are fully preserved. Moreover, it serves as a backup tool for internal systems. This not only significantly reduces the risk of data loss due to equipment failure, human error, or unforeseen disasters, but also enhances data continuity, enabling TFCF to continuously provide uninterrupted care and support to every child and family.

Results
Whether it’s daily administrative data or years of accumulated records, all are valuable digital assets for TFCF. With QNAP NAS, TFCF’s branches can digitally centralize and regularly back up large volumes of data. This not only improves data management efficiency and facilitates the sharing of social welfare resources, but also allows TFCF to safeguard service quality while confidently carrying out every initiative.
